Who is eligible to join?

A. 

WHO MAY BELONG
1.  Employees of Trib Total Media, Inc. (formerly Tribune-Review Publishing Company), dba Valley News Dispatch, North Hills News Record, Western PA Printing Company, Herald, Pennysaver, Buttermilk Falls, Falcon (Rock Airport Facility), who work in Tarentum, Vandergrift, Zelienople, North Hills, Sharpsburg, Penn Hills or Warrendale, Pennsylvania; contract haulers, paper carriers who work regularly under contract for the above, and employees of the Valley Wide of PA Federal Credit Union (formerly VDN Federal Credit Union).  

2.  Employees of the following who work in the locations named:  3 Rivers Staffing - Tarentum, PA, Alternate Staffing - Tarentum, Blackie Roofing - New Kensington, Butch's Sound & Vision - Natrona Heights, Brunner Electric - Leechburg, Clark Candies Inc. - Tarentum, DiSanti Chiropractic - Lower Burrell, ERA Meridian Real Estate Group - Lower Burrell, Fire Pro Services - Creighton, Hogan Contracting - Tarentum, IATSE Local #489 - Pittsburgh Area, Noble Contracting - Murrysville, Omni Electric - Tarentum, Pittsburgh Indoor Sports Arena "PISA" - Cheswick, Rabkin Dermatopathology Laboratory P.C. - Tarentum, Tarentum Borough - Tarentum, Thomas Tours - New Kensington, Pittsburgh Imprinting/Pro Image Sports - Pittsburgh, & PA Film Industry Association - Pittsburgh, Harrisburg & Philadelphia.

3. Members of their family including spouse, children, sisters, brothers, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, who are related to the employee.  In addition, household members (defined as persons who live in the same residence and maintain a single economic unit) of an immediate member (listed above) are eligible.

4.  Spouses of persons who passed away while within the field of membership of the credit union.

5.  Persons retired from the above companies.

HOW TO JOIN
1.  Obtain and complete a membership card.  There is a one-time joining fee of $5.00.  Full membership benefits are subject to a $25.00 balance in your savings/share accounts.  Once you are a member, you may remain a member even if you change employment or retire.

2.  The credit union makes systematic savings convenient through payroll deductions.  While payroll deductions are the most convenient method of saving, money may also be deposited in person or by mail.  Saving/Share accounts may be individual or joint ownership.  Your money in your account is always readily available.  Withdrawals may be made in person, by phone, by mail request or e-mail. 

WHY JOIN THE CREDIT UNION
You become a member of a non-profit organization owned by its members.  You will find it is more pleasant to do business where you are a member and not just an account number.  When you save with and borrow from the credit union, you will support an organization whose sole purpose is to help its members prosper and get ahead. 

How do I start a membership account?

 A.  To start your membership you must open a Regular Share Account with a deposit of $30.00 which will give you ownership in  VALLEY WIDE OF PA.
